Manojit
Adhikary was born in the
late 50s in the south-west suburb of Kolkata, Manojit has a
thirst for knowledge of different human activities since
childhood. The moment he decided to make documentary films, he
joined different institutes and attended a number of workshops
to develop his technical skill. He has worked as an assistant
in a number of documentary films to gather first-hand
experience. Manojit is working as a Head Assistant, Information & Cultural Affairs Dept., Govt. of West Bengal.
Manojit's interest also extends to areas like folk-art, dance,
mime, painting and sculpture, music, civil defence
communication, social service, Unani medicine and the like.
This has enabled him to see the real life through the lens of
his camera....

Theatre, Aesthetic knowledge on folk songs, music, dance,
theatre, Crafts and Arts from Academy of Folk Theatre
organised by West Bengal State Academy of Dance, Drama,
Music and Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University,

workshop at Royal Chow Academy, Purulia and performed all
over India organised by West Bengal State Academy of Dance,
Drama, Music & Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University.

9th Asian Games, Delhi and 3rd SAF games, Calcutta as a
dancer from West Bengal.
